Senior Architect

Huelat Davis is seeking a Senior Architect leader to direct the Alexandria, Virginia office. Qualifications of potential candidates include the following:

  • Must be a licensed architect with a minimum of fifteen years of experience, including diverse capabilities in programming, planning, design, contract documents and construction administration.
  • Must be a seasoned leader of people, with project management experience on large and small projects.
  • Must be an excellent communicator, with an ability to make persuasive presentations to clients, potential clients, employees and others.
  • Must be an aggressive, high-energy person with a strong desire to expand the Alexandria office and to grow in one’s professional career.
  • Must be a forthright, honest, ethical, and professional individual.

Responsibilities for this candidate may include the following:

  • Perform Project Manager functions for a wide variety of project types and sizes.
  • Provide internal office leadership, including scheduling of people and resources, mentoring, and directing both project efforts as well as internal office initiatives.
  • Take responsibility for overall quality of performance of design teams, including design, documentation, client service, etc.
  • Participate in financial management of projects as well as the overall financial performance of the Alexandria office.
  • Develop new business from both existing and new clients. Write proposals, negotiate fees, review contracts, and monitor contract compliance.
  • Dialogue and participate with other leaders within the firm on overall office management matters and specific strategies for the Alexandria office.

Architect | Architect Intern | Interior Architect

Huelat Davis Healing Design is seeking an experienced Architect | Architect Intern | Interior Architect for an immediate, full-time position in our Alexandria, Virginia office for talented, creative, experienced architects, architect interns, interior architects with 5-10yrs experience and a passion for healthcare project types.

Successful candidates require proficiency in Revit and Sketch-up;  a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited program;  Exceptional verbal and graphic communication skills.

Demonstration of legal residency or valid visa for employment in the United States is required.

Healthcare Design Researcher

The Healthcare Design Researcher shall pursue, conduct, analyze and report on applied research opportunities, and provide education to office staff on process and findings.  Research shall provide oversight and/or provide guidance of research for design research projects.
